This is a painting I did years ago. Small sketches done from photos randomly put together and given a touch of watercolour. I have written down Ultramarine Blue, Windsor Red (but looks more like burnt sienna or something) and two yellows...Indian and Transparent. Limited palette is a powerful thing so long as you leave plenty of white. Makes landscapes look great. Confident.

Used ultramarine blue, Windsor red (although it looks much more like burnt sienna) and two yellows...Indian and transparent. This is an old painting of quick landscape sketches done from photos. So long as you leave plenty of white you can't go wrong.

Thanks. I love simplified stuff that runs together. Detail does not necessarily make it better!
